Call for Abstract

The Scientific Programme Committee of the 2nd Asia Pacific Congenital and Structural Heart Intervention Symposium 2011 (APCASH 2011) welcomes the submission of abstracts for oral or poster presentation. Accepted abstracts will be published and distributed to all participants.

Instructions
Presenters are requested to complete a Submission Form which can be downloaded from official website www.hongkongcash.org Presenters are allowed to submit more than one abstract. Abstract submission must be done via email to Conference Secretariat. All free paper presenters are required to pre-register with the Conference for presenting their works. (Notes: Participants originated from the countries outside of Hong Kong / China can apply funding from Organizer of US$400 plus complimentary registration per person as travel subsidy provided that their abstract submission is accepted)**

Best Abstraction Competition
All abstract submission will be entered the competition automatically and 3 abstracts will be selected to receive awards. (First prize: iPad 16GB; Second prize: iPod Touch; Third prize: Digital Camera).

Submission
Abstracts must be written in English. The content should include: i) Background & Objectives, ii) Methods, iii) Results and iv) Conclusion. Please clearly type the title of the abstract, author name(s), institution name(s), and country of origin at the top of the abstract. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. The abstract should not exceed 300 words. It is recommended you use a computer-generated, Times New Roman, 10-point font, with single-line spacing. Simple tables or graphs (in black and white only) may be included. Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted.

Notification of Acceptance
Submissions will be acknowledged within 3 working days. After peer review, you will be notified whether the abstract is accepted or revisions are needed by 20 December 2010 via email. Acceptance, however, is conditional on registration; if registration is not completed by 10 December 2010, the abstract will be considered withdrawn and deleted from the programme.

Submission
Abstracts must be written in English. The cases should be as informative and challenging as possible. The format of your presentation should be Microsoft PowerPoint 97-2003 with eight (8) slides only. No video is included with the presentation. The entire presentation as well as all appendant images should be packed to one file which you can submit to us.

Notification of Acceptance

Application of Travelling Subsidy (For overseas participants only)

In order to encourage sharing of the latest knowledge, technology and insights in congenital and structural heart interventions, the Organizing Committee has set up a funding to support the travelling expenses of overseas participants. Applicants MUST be originated from the countries outside of Hong Kong / China and their submitted abstracts / clinical cases are accepted. The travel subsides would be US$400 plus complimentary registration per person and to be given out to the successful applicants at the end of the Conference. We have limited quota for this funding and on a first-come-first-served basis. Downloadable abstract/clinical case submission form is available on the conference website and deadline of submission is 10 December 2010.
