Dear Colleagues,

Thank you for your participation at the 5th Asia Pacific Congenital & Structural Heart Intervention Symposium 2014 - APCASH 2014 which was successfully held from October 10 - 12, 2014 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. A 3-day conference was conducted featuring a clinical focus on both paediatric and structural heart diseases, as well as live case demonstrations from the Asia Pacific region.

APCASH is a fast growing meeting dedicated to congenital & structural interventions in the Asia Pacific region. Over the years, the conference has been well known for live case transmissions from renowned hospitals worldwide and experienced operators demonstrating the latest medical device technology.

In the APCASH 2014, we were much honoured to have achieved new records below:

• Over 140 top-notch faculty members and more than 300 delegates from 22 countries/regions, including Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Greece, Poland, Spain, The Netherlands and Sudan etc.
• Eighteen live cases were conducted by 37 experienced operators from 4 centres - Shanghai Children's Medical Centre, Fuwai Hospital, Beijing, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
• Continued support from 12 renowned supporting organizations.
• Cross-strait Challenging Case Competition was successfully held with positive feedback received.
• A 3-day Training Campus was first introduced that featured the latest techniques and technologies.
• A newly joint session was conducted between Montreal Heart Institute and HKSTENT on complication.
